These speakers come as a pack in with HP Slimline PCs but we were able to run them through desktops, laptops and an iPhone for this review. First off the size of these speakers, at 2.8”high x 1.9”wide x 1.5”deep, a very compact design that will easily fit in any of your backpacks or messenger bags making them a great on the go speaker option. They will also fit very discreetly on any desktop, small size lets you place them where you like. These speakers are conveniently USB powered, so you just plug in USB and the speaker cord into your headphone jack and your good to go, no need to find a wall plug. The HP Slimline Computer Speakers have a great sound for a compact travel speaker. Crisp highs, mids and a low bass volume make these speakers sound much bigger then there diminutive size. They were especially good for watching movies on a portable device, adding a lot of sound internal speakers could not put out. I had similar luck using these speakers for listening to music; they are a great improvement over an internal speaker setup. Whether rap, rock, or classical you will see a significant improvement in sound quality over an internal speaker system.
